It has been said:
“Tension bequeaths creativity”

That might sound funny at first, but consider this natural cycle of highly creative artists:

Step 1:
Great art is born of tension

Step 2:
Great art then removes its artist from the tension from which it was born, via fame and money

Step 3:
The artist seeks to return once again to the tension which gave rise to their creative process, even if artificially through drugs or other perversions.

If this view of the process is at all correct, this has some interesting implications.
